Ocean Vuong is the author of On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous, winner of the American Book Award, The Mark Twain Award, and The New England Book Award. The novel debuted for six weeks on The New York Times bestseller list and has since sold more than a million copies in 40 languages. A nominee for the National Book Award and a recipient of a MacArthur "Genius" Grant, he is also the author of the poetry collections, Time is a Mother, a finalist for the Griffin prize, and Night Sky with Exit Wounds, a New York Times Top 10 Book, winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize, the Whiting Award, the Thom Gunn Award. A Ruth Lilly fellow from the Poetry Foundation, his honors include fellowships from the Lannan Foundation, the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, The Elizabeth George Foundation, The Academy of American Poets, and the Pushcart Prize. Selected by Foreign Policy magazine as one of its 100 Leading Global Thinkers, Vuong's writings have been featured in The Atlantic, Granta, Harpers, The Nation, New Republic, The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Paris Review, The Village Voice, and American Poetry Review, which awarded him the Stanley Kunitz Prize for Younger Poets. 

Sara Eddy is the author of Ordinary Fissures, released last month by Kelsay Books, and two chapbooks, Tell the Bees (A3 Press, 2019) and Full Mouth (Finishing Line, 2020). Her poems have appeared widely in print and online literary journals, including Threepenny Review, Baltimore Review, Raleigh Review, and SWWIM, among other venues. She holds a doctorate in American Literature from Tufts University, and is Assistant Director of the writing center at Smith College, in Northampton, Massachusetts. She lives in Amherst in a house built by Emily Dickinson’s cousin with her non-binary adult-kid, a border collie, a tuxedo cat, and 3 beehives.

Sarah Seltzer has been a feminist journalist and cultural critic for more than a decade. Her lively writing for publications including The New York Times, TIME, Jezebel, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, The Nation, and many other places has shaped the discourse on subjects ranging from Hollywood casting, to abortion rights, to Jane Austen and beyond. A native and lifelong New Yorker, Sarah is currently the Executive Editor at Lilith Magazine. The Singer Sisters is her debut novel.

Home Body 8 PM -10 PM

Synthesist Eric Hnatow and vocalist Haley Morgan make music as Home Body, harnessing light, sound, and movement to present a throbbing synth spectacle oozing with raw energy and emotional grit. Hailing from western Massachusetts, the duo plays with form and improvisation, enchanting audiences with their infectious spirit and danceable, moody electro-pop. Live, they punctuate their sound with manual light manipulation, reaching beyond their performance to create a high-vibration spectacle that is physically and emotionally moving.
