The Loo Gallery
The Loo Gallery is an offbeat gallery space in the large and comfortable Handicapped Loo at Dream Away Lodge. Named in homage to New York gallery owner Gracie Mansion's famous East Village Loo Gallery of the 1980's, the Loo features small works by established and emerging artists from all over the country. An intimate and personal space in which to experience art.
Dream Away's mission in creating the Loo Gallery was to give a nod to the past while enlarging the Dream Away's already legendary creative capacity and broadening once more its range of interests.

About Sarah Creighton
Sarah Creighton received a BFA in Printmaking and Painting, then trained as a hand bookbinder, serving apprenticeships with David Bourbeau and Arno Werner. She worked for Gray Parrot as an edition binder and then studied with Hugo Peller at the Centro del bel Libro in Ascona, Switzerland.
In 1982 she established Sarah Creighton Bookbinding. She maintains her bindery in Easthampton, MA, where she designs and produces limited editions of fine press books, portfolios, boxes, and unique fine bindings. She also makes decorated papers and uses many of these in her edition work.
Her primary interest is in collaborating with publisher, artist, and printer. With all projects the aim is to make books that open easily; books that are a pleasure to handle. Her binding designs reflect the tone and quality of each book’s text and imagery complementing, rather than competing with, typographic design and artwork.
The Loo Gallery is an intimate space for the quiet contemplation of art at the Dream Away Lodge.
The Loo Gallery is curated in association with Leslie Ferrin of the Ferrin Gallery in Pittsfield
